Nick Wood and multi-talented Brazilian singer-songwriter, Silvio Anastacio, were recently interviewed for Ships Mag. Check out what they got chatting about just below:
With a musical style rooted in Brazilian bossa nova, Silvio’s unique sound is featured on a number of Syn’s albums. Our long-time friend and collaborator has joined forces with the likes of Simon Le Bon and Lisa Ono and, what’s more, was the lead vocalist for Nick’s hit track, “Passion”.
Today, Silvio’s newest album is being mixed at Syn Studios; we hope to have it ready for you by Summer!!!
Our great friend and collaborator, Julian Lennon, turned 50 earlier this month! His latest single, “Someday”, was released to mark the occasion.
Lennon and Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler, teamed up to create the uplifting pop-rock track. Whilst the collaboration came as a surprise to some, it’s not the first time - nor the last, we hope! - that the two have come together. Lennon was also seen to lend his vocals to Aerosmith’s latest studio album, “Music From Another Dimension!”.
“Someday” marks the first single from Lennon’s upcoming album, “Everything Changes”. Download “Someday” from iTunes today, and keep an eye out for Lennon’s much-anticipated album available in-store and online from June 4th.
Julian Lennon can also be heard alongside both Nick Wood and Tetsuya Komuro on Syn’s 2012 charity release, “Hope”. All proceeds from the track are donated to the “Beyond Tomorrow” organisation to aid relief efforts of the Tohoku Disaster. Please show your support today.

Founded by the lovely Victoria Tsai, TATCHA is an extremely special, ever so unique beauty and cosmetics company. From the very beginning, TATCHA products have been inspired by the age-old beauty secrets of Japan’s iconic Geisha.
It was during the spring of 2012 when Vicky first approached Nick. With the vision of creating a single track that would both capture the spirit of traditional Japan yet reflect this with a modern twist, their very special collaboration began. The resulting track, “Kyoto Horizon”, now available from iTunes stores around the world (http://syn.co.jp/blog/kyoto_horizon/), is featured in the TATCHA brand video.
Nick recently had the opportunity to sit and talk with Vicky about his life in Japan and abroad. Conversation soon turned to Kyoto - City of the Geisha and, for a long time, one of Nick’s favorite places in the world…
Nick and his beautiful wife, Norico, are thrilled to be ambassadors for this very special company! Please head over to TATCHA’s website (http://www.tatcha.com) for a look at their fantastic products and the incredible story behind them.
