VP & Executive Producer

Naoko started her career in entertainment at the CBS・Sony Group, working in Sony’s video department. 

Then in 1989 she had a chance meeting with Nick in Tokyo.

This is when Syn really took off, Nick and Simon had already established the company in London, but not in Japan. What’s more, neither of them spoke any Japanese...so they suggested that she join them and launch Syn together.

Naoko organized the incorporation of Syn in Tokyo and became one of the three founding partners along with Nick Wood and Simon Le Bon. She’s been here ever since. That’s 19 years!

Today, Naoko is VP and Executive Producer, which means she oversees everything! Getting involved in all aspects of the company, from producing commercial soundtracks and CDs to event management and creative direction.
